Sure, you love cooking and enjoying meals inside your decked-out LuxiaSuites apartment. It’s comfortable, and you can watch TV while you indulge. But every once in a while, it’s nice to go to a high-end restaurant. You’re waited on hand and foot and served top-notch cuisine inside a gorgeous setting. And Wilmington is full of great places to eat out. These three picks will leave you satisfied—and are great options for the next time you want to celebrate or just spend a night out on the town.

Domaine Hudson
This Wilmington spot is often hailed as one of the city’s top dining establishments. And its long list of accolades only reinforces this. But you should really rely on the menu options—consisting of fine American food—to give you a true sense of the restaurant. Expect inventive cuisine like curry-spiced bay scallops and aged barrel-cut ribeye served with roasted “fairytale” pumpkin puree, whipped goat cheese, dried jalapeño, pepitas and cremini mushrooms. If that wasn’t enough, the restaurant’s wine list is notable too. Expect to find more than 400 wines—enough choices to please even the pickiest oenophile.

Sullivan’s Steakhouse
The Wilmington outpost of this national chain serves up its namesake and other hearty cuisine. In addition to generous cuts of meat, diners should look forward to braised beef ravioli, cheesesteak eggrolls and French onion soup. If you still have any room left over after your meal, consider ordering coconut cream pie or key lime pie for dessert.

The Green Room
Hotel du Pont’s The Green Room is where French food lovers go to celebrate in style. This luxurious setting (complete with fumed oak paneling, coffered oak-beamed ceiling, gold chandeliers, Italian mosaic and original oil paintings) is only outdone by its cuisine. If you prefer to enjoy dinner and a show at one of the nearby performing arts venues, The Green Room offers a prix-fixe menu for $48 per person. Sample dishes from this menu include grilled and chilled mojitio shrimp, rack of lamb and the spot’s signature chocolate Napoleon for dessert.
