This Summer, Get Around Town by Hopping Aboard Wilmington’s River Taxi

Move over, Uber! There's a better way to get around Wilmington this summer. We're talking, of course, about Wilmington's River Taxi, which offers tourists and locals alike a more scenic, soothing alternative to the typical taxi experience.

This royal-blue river taxi, which can transport up to 29 passengers at a time, cruises the serene waters of the Christina and Brandywine rivers, transporting passengers between six different stops along the Wilmington Riverfront: Dravo Plaza, Public Docks, FireStone Roasting House, Riverfront Market/Harry’s Seafood Grill, Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park, and Kalmar Nyckel Shipyard.

The taxi will operate Tuesdays through Sundays, now through Sept. 11, 2016. The taxi switches to a weekend-only schedule between Sept. 16 and Oct. 30. Rides on the taxi cost $7 for adults and $5 for kids and seniors. Be sure to check out the River Taxi's special events, Tuesday and Thursday Family Nights and Wednesdays On The Water Wine Cruise!
